5. "An Illustrated History of US Commemorative Coinage" by Don Taxay. Hardbound, 1967, 256 pages. A wonderful and seldom-seen book illustrating not only the accepted designs, but it profusely illustrates many designs that were not accepted. Taxay had access, through many historical societies, to numerous plaster models of proposed designs. We are grateful that he displayed them in this book. It's wonderful to see "what might have been." Terrific illustrations. Good, used copy. Scarce!

Price: $35.00
